POLICE have arrested two people after allegedly recovering £6,500 worth of drugs in Irvine.
At around 7pm on Tuesday September 13, officers from Ayrshire Police Division attended a house in Pladda Court, Broomlands with a warrant.
A search was carried out and police allegedly seized a quantity of cocaine and heroin from the property..
Two men, aged 46 and 49, were arrested and held in custody to appear at court for alleged offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Chief Inspector Brian Shaw, Area Commander in North Ayrshire said: “The misuse of drugs has an impact on crime in local communities and with the continued support of local people we will tackle the issue and disrupt those involved in the supply and production of drugs.
“I want to send a clear message to the public that we are committed to tackling drug crime across North Ayrshire."
